Forest Mural
Forest Mural
A forest scene painted in February 2012 for an osteopaths clinic where one wall is lined completely with listed grade 1 cupboards.
The room is part of an important Georgian building in Queen's Square, Bath so the painting was done on flax canvas and then carefully fitted onto the cupboard doors.
I used my sketches and paintings that I have made over the years when I have been visiting Ontario, Canada.
I hope that the bright colours will convey an uplifting effect on the senses. I was also inspired by the work of the Canadian artists of The Group of Seven.

Sky Mural Restoration After Water Damage
I painted this large mural within a domed ceiling in 1996.
In recent years, some rain water leaked through the roof causing staining so after the leaks had been repaired and the roof had properly dried, I was invited to restore the damage.
The restoration was completed during July 2011.

Cutlery Wall Lights
I spent some happy hours hunting charity shops for nice old cutlery with my friend Beatrice Bell in Dulverton. We had some fun finding an array of fish forks and soup spoons, butterknives and steak knives to adorn these eight individual lights.
The pieces were all rivetted on, painted and then the lights were supplied to a bar and restaurant in the Cotswolds.
If you would like some cutlery lights created for you, please telephone 01225 46346
I pledge to donate £20.00 per cutlery light to the Horn of Africa famine victims for any further commissions for this design until August 2012.
Flowers for a Wedding Reception, The Entrance Hall
The Theme in the hall was more English than Carribean although background potted palms hinted at the Bride's Home in Tobago. Two lovely Bath stone columns were wrapped and bedecked with spray carnations and scented freesias which perfumed the stair well. All guests would be coming through this area so the arrangement was kept tight and neat.
I adore working with flowers and welcome commissions for almost any event.
Flowers for a Wedding Reception, The Balcony

Oak Table with Turned Twin Supports and Extensions
This was designed and made in January 2012 as an elegant match for the client's antique chairs. Two removable extension leaves are at each end so four extra guests can be seated comfortably.
Oak Table with Hand carved Top
This splendid piece of oak furniture was made for a private client who required a dining table for her medieval hall. It was supplied with a removable extension leaf at one end so extra guests can be seated when the occassion demands .
The cable design was researched and drawn up by Jane and then hand carved on the edge of the table in the Suffolk workshop. Care was taken for the interpretaion to be lively and a little irregular so that the overall effect looked early English. The surface was distressed and aged all over to remove any sharp lines and edges.
